FOUNDATION
Dr. Sekhar Bathina,
President, DRS, co-founded DRS in 1986 & established business relations
with companies in USA, Japan & Europe. Dr. Sekhar Bathina is a marketing
professional. He's had an outstanding career marketing scientific &
electronic equipment. He started his career as a Marketing Manager with
Harvin Agencies, Hyderabad. He was responsible for marketing bio-analytical
& spectroscopic instrumentations on the national level. He co-ordinated
a sales team of 15 Sales Officers & 3 Service Engineers.
Most of these companies never had a presence in the India
market. Dr. Sekhar has persuaded them to enter the Indian market. These
companies are now represented in India. Dr. Bathina promoted Trancell
Systems Pvt. Ltd. (now Ramp Networks Pvt. Ltd.) in 1993 along with software
professionals from the US & established a software development center
in Hyderabad. He was responsible for product development in association
with the marketing & development teams based in the US. Sekhar was in
charge of the operations of the company & was also responsible for developing
markets for the products in South East Asia, Middle East & India. He
dealt with OEMs & System Integrators in these countries to establish
distribution channels. In India he set up sales channels by appointing
a country distributor & resellers in major cities. Sekhar Bathina organized
road shows in all these cities.
